Our Story

Kinderbuilt began with a simple goal: to keep my kids engaged outdoors. Like many parents, I was looking for something that could truly hold their attention and stand up to real, everyday play. After months of researching water tables, mud kitchens, and outdoor play sets, I realized that none offered the versatility or durability I was looking for, so I decided to build my own.

What started as a weekend project quickly grew into a bigger vision. I wanted to create something that we could all enjoy together as a family. And if it also meant some free time for me, than I accomplished my mission.

A kid-sized wooden workbench with two plastic bins, a pegboard with various toy tools, and storage shelves, set on a brick patio in a backyard with green grass and flowering plants.

As a high school shop teacher, I founded Kinderbuilt with the belief in the power of hands-on learning. That perspective shaped the next chapter of Kinderbuilt’s story: creating meaningful job opportunities for young adults.

My vision is to provide work that fosters pride, craftsmanship, and real-world skills through building something tangible. I want to help create fulfillment through a lifelong love of making something with your own two hands.
